I (along with a stranger) helped some old guy with a leg brace and crutches stand up from off the ground, only to smell his breath before he took a few steps and fell flat on his face again. My good-deed buddy nodded at me and quickly said “It counts” as the approaching MBTA personnel intervened and waved us along.
